A very new start for a new tab in my blog \”ONLY FOR DIE-HARD FANS\”
In this tab i will be focusing only on the positive aspects of any automotives so that it will be easier for you all readers to decide your dream bike as your reality.
Starting with the legend in the Indian Market i.e. Bajaj Pulsar 220F.
This bike as most of you must have driven has a quite large fan following as well as many are anti to it…but here i will explain only the best part of it.
Features:-
1) Power and Torque:-
It\’s engine is powered by 21.04bhp@8500rpm and 19.12Nm torque@7000rpm… so as far as power is concerned it is having the highest power under price tag Rs 1lacs. No doubt it just gives a rocket feel while throttling.
2)Design and Ergonomics:-
It\’s design is much similar to its younger siblings except for the twin head projector lamp which is somewhat in close resemblence with wolf\’s eye.
Fully digital console, flexible side indicators with auto cancellation etc are some convenient features.
The rider\’s position is quite sticky….you easily grab the tank with your thigh and the rear brakes are also spaced for comfortable griphold.
The aerodynamics is also good…sufficient gap is there for the air to circulate through the oil cooler.
Overall it gives a Sporty feel.
3)Fuel Effeciency:-
On city road it gives an average of 35kmpl and on highways 40kmpl…can be under extreme conditions but with servicing should be pursuant with the schedule.
4)Spare parts:-
Spare parts are easily available for it except for the discontinued Pulsar 220 DTS-FI version and is somewhat expensive.
5)After Sale Service:-
The biggest reason for success of most of the bikes is the after sale service & undoubtedly its the best when it comes to BAJAJ.
6)Performance:-
The performance of the bike is quite stable….the grip is quite better because of tubeless and wider tires..the acceleration is superb as well as the braking (except few minor improvements in rear disc needed to be done).The lean angle of the bike is quite high because of comfortable tank grip and wider tires (quite suited for doing stunts). The power to weight ratio of this bike is highest 140bhp/ton.The ride is quite comfortable for long drives..The auto choke function can be well noticed during winter season in the engine idling rpm going high automatically during first start.
Top speed as claimed by the company is 140kmph…but can go even more on extreme driving conditions.
These are some of the features experienced by me more you can discover by riding it over longer distances.
Because of all these features under such nominal price tag….this bike can be gone for easily without any doubt.
