Whenever we purchase any bike our prime concern after purchasing it is its safety….or better safety from being stolen.Therefore we get our machine insured by the insurance company….and from saving ourselves from running into the police station to lodge a FIR of theft, we install some extra locks on our bikes apart from handle lock.
1.These locks include side locks on front wheel which is fitted on the front shock absorber of the bike,
2. locks welded on the main stand of the bike.
……………..But nowadays a new problem has arisen in the INDIAN market due to mordernisation of the bikes segment or rather launch of sports bikes in our country.These bikes comes with wide shock absorbers so that you can easily and safely do a STOPPIE!!!…and some bikes donot have the feature of main stand (eg:yamaha yzf-r15)…so both the above mentioned option of extra safety locks gets ruled out in these bikes and the chances of theft becomes pretty good…
Even i was not able to find an appropiate secondary lock for my p220…but suddenly walking on the street i discovered a kind of new lock in p200..and i found it quite amazing,cheap and effective also, so i installed it in my bike.This lock is available everywhere in the market.
STEPS TO INSTALL THE NEW SAFETY LOCK:-
1)Purchase one safety lock of long lever and not so thick one…particularly the chinese locks available in the market.
2)Your bike should have atleast one disc brake…..take that lock and install it in the hole of the ventillated discs and you are done!!!! Your bike is now safe completely..
3) For additional safety you can install one or more locks if your bike features rear disc brake or dual disc in the front tyre.
So what are you waiting for??…hurry up before its too late!!
