Kia Unveils the Groundbreaking EV3 Compact SUV

Kia has launched the new Kia EV3, a cutting-edge compact EV SUV designed to set new standards in its category. Featuring bold design, innovative technology, and groundbreaking features, the EV3 aims to exceed customer expectations and elevate the EV SUV market.

Inspired by the Award-Winning EV9 SUV

Drawing from the advanced technology and customer-focused values of the acclaimed EV9 SUV, the EV3 establishes its own identity. It offers a unique, immersive experience that broadens the appeal of electric vehicles, targeting those who may have been hesitant to switch to electric mobility.

Ho Sung Song, President and CEO of Kia, stated, “With its groundbreaking design, industry-leading electric drivetrain, and innovative lifestyle solutions, the EV3 extends Kia’s exceptional EV SUV experience to a wider audience. Its impressive WLTP driving range of up to 600km and fast-charging capability address common concerns about electric vehicles, encouraging mass adoption of EVs.”

KIA EV3 Exterior Design: Bold and Progressive

The EV3’s design, influenced by Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy, combines nature and modernity to create a harmonious yet dynamic aesthetic. Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, Karim Habib, said, “The EV3 embodies our design philosophy perfectly, merging playful design with thoughtful functionality. Despite its compact size, the EV3 offers a spacious interior that emphasizes relaxation for every journey.”

Available in nine body colors, including exclusive Aventurine Green and Terracotta, the EV3 offers a range of stylish options.

The EV3 GT-line features a rugged appearance with contrasting lower body trim and a sportier bumper design. Technical graphics and a triangle wing configuration on the rear bumper further emphasize its aggressive look.

Inside, the EV3 comfortably seats five, offering a spacious cabin designed for relaxation during journeys and charging. The center console features a sliding table and storage area, while multi-adjustable ambient lighting and fold-back seats enhance comfort. A near-30-inch widescreen display integrates a 12.3-inch cluster, a five-inch air-conditioning panel, and another 12.3-inch AVN display, providing clear graphics and intuitive information. Many functions are accessible via steering wheel buttons or a seamless row of buttons below the central screen. Interior options include colors and materials inspired by Air, Earth, and Water elements, with sustainable materials like recycled PET featured throughout.

Electric Drivetrain: Exemplary Range and Fast Charging

The EV3 measures 4,300mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,560mm in height with a 2,680mm wheelbase. Built on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) with Kia’s fourth-generation battery technology, the EV3 Standard model has a 58.3kWh battery, while the Long Range variant features an 81.4kWh battery.
