How as a consumer Crash Test affects you?

Basically, the crash test is conducted over preset norms to enable the determination of the overall structural safety of a car. As a consumer one expects a safer vehicle that would protect the occupants in the event of a crash. The crash test eventually shows the performance of the car’s all the safety features touted by the company and tells us whether the overall body of the car is stable or not.

An average medium-income group person spends their hard-earned money on buying a car and pays a premium over the standard variant to buy those high-end luxury features and technologically advanced modern cars. Plus the burden of taxes adds to their plight. Even after paying so much of the amount if the car’s basic build quality turns out to be of low grade, which is not at par to save one’s life even in case of minor accidents definitely dents a hole in the consumer’s confidence in the product being sold by car manufacturers.

Seeing the global figure of accidental death by cars, it is imperative for car manufacturers to improve the structural strength in the frame of the car.

Ultimately the technologies like ABS, EBD, Hill-Assist, ADAS, Traction Control, etc can only be of any use if the car is not getting sandwiched between two vehicles or the pillars are strong enough to withstand the car turning upside down.

Taking this in mind one should always keep in mind the safety level of the car as much as one is careful about the mileage. A drop in the mileage can be accepted but negligence in the safety of one’s family can be tolerated. Hence be informed and make wise decisions for your own good.
